This video series was inspired by my daughters science fair project . She wanted to show how we could reuse all the things that normal people view as junk. So we decided to try our hand at melting aluminum scrap. The first thing we had to do was figure out what temperature aluminum melts at.
Then we had to learn how to make a homemade aluminum smelter this was pretty fun and exciting for us both. When we told some of our friends and family they were very interested but skeptical at the same time. That was fine with us we are used to travelling down the road less traveled to quote my 10 year old daughter.
So once we figured out our method for smelting aluminum we were off and running. We went to the recycle yard and robbed a few recycle trash cans until we had a good enough stash to make our first batch .
